The world these days is so on the go it can be hard to slow down and find a flow that breeds success. NX Direct has felt that rush of our day before, and we knew we had to settle down and find structure conducive to our success. These tips below show you how to set a daily routine for success.

Start Your Day With Affirmations

Setting your day up for success starts with positivity and confidence. Take time each morning to talk yourself up with daily affirmations. It may seem silly at first, but after it becomes part of your day, you will notice that your confidence spikes, and you feel ready to take on the day. This could include talking about how you will succeed. You are smart, you are driven, and you can take on the world!

Set Your Intentions for the Day

Setting your intentions for the day is different than creating daily affirmations. When you set your intentions for the day, it is to make it known to yourself what you will accomplish and the attitude you will have. It also includes the emotions you will take on and how they will help you succeed. For example, setting an intention of gratitude will help your insight on what you are doing throughout the day with grace and positivity.

Be Intentional About Your Breaks 

As you work hard towards crushing your goals, it is important to take breaks but to be intentional about them. Taking breaks will help you clear your mind between tasks so that you are ready to take on the next one. However, be intentional about this time. Use your breaks to take a walk, free your mind, and check your devices quickly. This might not be the best time to scroll and get carried away in content.

Unwind Before You Sleep

At the end of your day, it’s imperative that your daily routine includes time to unwind before you sleep. Think about your current night routine – what all does it entail? At NX Direct, we have discussed during some of our meetings the best ways to chill out at night, and our top three ways are listed below.

  1. Reduce light an hour before bed

Cut the bright lights well before your head hits the pillow – it’ll help you to unwind and get your eyes ready for a deep sleep. This includes room lights and device lighting. If needed, set your phone setting to the night light to reduce blue light exposure.

  1. Cut out screen time 

Cutting out screen time before bed is beneficial in many ways. Doing so will help you get better rest and help your mind to disengage from your day. The light from screens will also keep your mind awake, and when you don’t get to sleep on time, you can’t be ready to tackle the next day.

  1. Read an entrepreneurial book

One of our favorite ways to settle in at night is to read a book that will get us in the right mindset for success. Ditch the sci-fi or mystery stories to hone your entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset. Take ten minutes before bed to read an entrepreneurial book to get your mind ready to succeed.
