Frequently asked interview questions at NX Direct

2019 is going to be the year of growth at NX Direct. Our resolutions are set, and we are ready to tackle them with our team by our side. We know that success is achieved by working together as a team which is why it’s our goal this year to bring aboard the best and the brightest. Our management team knows that one of the first steps an interviewee takes after confirming their appointment is to research the company. So, we have compiled a list of four questions that are frequently asked during our interview process. We hope our answers help you gain a better understanding of our company, team, and values!

Do I have to start in entry-level?

Everyone that starts at NX Direct, no matter their work history, start in an entry-level position. We believe this is vital so each team member understands the company from the bottom up and can function in all positions around our office. We want a future team member, whose eventual goal is to move into management, to gain experience within our company. Once that experience has been gained, promotions are obtained through work ethic and exceeding company standards. The rate of growth and success at NX Direct is solely up to the individual!

Do I have to do sales?

Our short answer, yes. Like stated above, everyone that joins our team starts in an entry-level role. By starting in sales, one learns to connect with clients and customers on a personal level. Sales are the basis of all business, and personal experience in sales (ie generating revenue for our client) makes one’s service to the company invaluable. Starting in sales produces stronger leaders who lead by example and action, so accordingly, every one of our managers started in an introductory sales position and worked their way up. There’s a lot to be said for a coach who knows how to play the field.

What is the most important quality you are looking for in an applicant?

There are many different qualities that we are looking for in our applicants. If we had to choose just one, we would have to say someone that has a student-mentality! At NX Direct, we promote from within, which means we are consistently training and developing our team members so that they can grow into managerial roles. Therefore, we need people that thrive in a learning atmosphere. No matter if you are in entry-level or management, we all have room for growth. So, be prepared to come in with a pen, paper, and an open mind if accepting employment with our company!

Can you describe the corporate culture?

One thing that we pride ourselves on is our company culture. We want our team members to walk in our doors and instantly feel like they have entered a welcoming and productive environment. In the office, we try to have fun while getting work done. This allows our team to feel their most relaxed and creative. Outside of the office, we hold weekly team nights. This is where we can let loose and relax as friends. The growth and development of our team is our number one priority. Accordingly, our office atmosphere is something we hold sacred. We produce our best work when our environment matches our mindsets!
